They are not just a cut-and-paste of modern ideas of zombies or ghosts shoehorned into Pendragon, but rather medieval ideas of them explored in a properly thematic manner. They are well-crafted and do an excellent job of bringing ghosts and other spooky entities into Pendragon. Viewed purely as itself, the adventures are very good. I have now read through this book, and as a result, my impression is slightly more favorable, with a caveat.

And scholar characters, while great for Call of Cthulhu, has little appeal to me in Pendragon.īut I haven't read it, so I could be totally wrong. None of that sounds especially appealing to me maybe an adventure with an undead threat is useful as a change of pace, but the hobby as a whole certainly doesn't lack for usage of the restless dead as antagonists.
